“La Prealpina”, Varese (Italia)
Particularly impressive was the rendering of the extremely difficult sonata op. 94 by Prokofiew, a sort of multifaceted piece, sometimes showing Debussy-like traits. Carbotta’s nervous and lively flute succeeded in making the alabasterlike notes by Prokofiev shine with extraordinary precision and clarity. (Mario Chiodetti)

“La Prealpina”, Varese (Italia)
Confident, firm and impeccable, Carbotta performed this work by Mozart with great temperament. (Luca Segalla)

“L’Eco di Bergamo”, Bergamo (Italia)
And the flautist Mario Carbotta (the true protagonist of the evening performance) proved to be extremely capable and very much at ease in both fields. In the baroque and late baroque repertoire, he showed his undoubted technical qualities, made up of extreme agility, charming phrasings and graceful sonorities. But, particularly in the quick tempos, he was able to add a spark and a sort of special bent for the expressive capriccio that led to some very personal and unpredictable accents. (Bernardino Zappa)

“L’ Arena”, Verona (Italia)
Carbotta proved to be a totally convincing performer thanks to his clean sound, always full and vibrant in every register (…) The impressive partita in A minor BVW 1013 by J.S. Bach for solo flute was masterfully performed by Carbotta, who proved to be constantly in tune with the rigorous counterpoint of the score. (H.W.)
